The 2019-2020 MAAA Road Running League came to an end on Sunday 2 February with a 10 km race at Ta’ Qali.
On the day, there were some great performances. In the Men’s 10km Race, Charlton Debono (Evolve EC) was a clear winner in a new course record of 30:55. Second place went to the ever-improving Dillon Cassar (Raptorz AC) who crossed the finish line in a strong time of 31:26. The St Patrick’s runner Simon Spiteri was third in 32:47.
The Women’s race was dominated by Joelle Cortis (St Patrick’s) who won in a fast time of 36:28, followed by Mona Lisa Camilleri (AS Libertas) and Roberta Schembri (St Patrick’s).

Charlton Debono was the overall winner of the Men’s League while Lisa Marie Bezzina (Pembroke Athleta) was the winner of the Women’s League.

On the day, the Men’s Team honours went to Evolve AC while St Patrick’s AC were the first Women’s Team. Evolve EC and St Patrick’s AC were also the overall winners of the Team events.
