15th IAAF World Indoor Championships Sopot, Poland – 7-9 March 2014
The MAAA has been invited to participate in the 15th IAAF World Indoor Championships to be held in Sopot, Poland, from 7–9 March 2014. The IAAF Entry Standards are the following:

In the eventuality that no Maltese athlete meets the entry standards set by the IAAF, the IAAF allows the MAAA to compete with one unqualified male athlete or one unqualified female athlete in one event. For this reason, the following minimum guideline MAAA standards have been set:

FURTHER NOTES:

The MAAA qualification period is 1 January 2014 to 16 February 2014. The MAAA reserves the right to extend the qualification period to the 23rd of February.

Athletes competing abroad are to inform the MAAA of their participation at least one week before the event and are obliged to submit official results to the MAAA within 24 hours of their competition abroad. Requests to compete abroad or results not submitted within this timeframe may not be considered.

The acceptance of unqualified entries in the Field Events is at the discretion of the Technical Delegates of the IAAF.
