Athletics Malta Council has taken note of the resignation of its President, Mr Aldrin Cassar, with effect from 30 June 2025.
In line with the Association’s Statute, the Council has called an Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on 21st August 2025, during which a new President will be elected to serve until the end of the current Council term, which expires in 2026.
In the interim, the Council has appointed Darren Micallef, the Association’s Treasurer, to assume the role of Acting President until the election takes place.
Athletics Malta thanks Mr Cassar for his service and remains committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent transition.
